John isn’t your average number-cruncher—he’s a man with a passion for small business success. When he’s not balancing books at N.Y.T Certified Public Accountants LLC, he’s out exploring the universe with his family. With decades of accounting experience under his belt, John’s journey began in January 2000. Since then, he’s honed his skills in bookkeeping, payroll, taxation, and staff training, using his no-nonsense approach to guide clients through financial challenges.

John currently resides in Waynesboro, PA with his wife Erin, son John III, daughter Isabelle, and granddaughter Kaisleigh. A true Star Wars aficionado, John channels his inner Sith Lord when navigating complex tax codes and bookkeeping challenges. His love for classic VWs is as strong as the Force, and he often spends weekends working on his collection.

Whether he’s guiding a small business or restoring a VW, John brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to everything he does. He’s three parts accountant, one part Star Wars geek, two parts classic VW enthusiast, and a sprinkle of Washington Redskins fandom. Now, that’s a recipe for a force to be reckoned with!

Bailey Ziler, CPA

Bailey Ziler joined NYT in the summer of 2020. Within just a year, she achieved an impressive milestone, becoming one of Maryland’s youngest licensed CPAs in 2021. This speaks volumes about her dedication, drive, and ability to excel in her field at a remarkably young age. Her loyalty to client relationships shines through her enthusiasm and passion for maintaining strong connections. With her diverse experience in tax preparation, planning, bookkeeping, and business development, Bailey brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

What sets Bailey apart is her customer-centered approach and ability to connect with clients on a personal level. She’s down-to-earth and relatable, making her a trusted advisor to small business owners navigating the complexities of their enterprises’ life cycles.

Juleea Hageman

Juleea’s journey at N.Y.T. began in the late summer of 2023, just before tax season kicked into high gear. Seizing the opportunity, she dove headfirst into her role, eager to absorb as much knowledge as possible. While navigating the intricacies of accounting at N.Y.T., Juleea is also pursuing an Accounting and Business A.A.S degree, setting her sights on the coveted title of CPA in the future.

Reid Whitehair

For Reid, becoming an accountant was a deliberate choice, a departure from his decade-long career in the hospitality industry. It wasn’t until December of 2023 that he found himself at N.Y.T., following in his father’s footsteps into the profession. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University, graduating with flying colors—a perfect 4.0 GPA

Reid is deep into preparation for the 2024 version of the CPA exam, a new iteration emphasizing technology’s evolving role in the accounting landscape. His dedication to mastering these changes reflects his commitment to staying ahead of the curve and serving his clients with the utmost expertise.

Kaleb started at N.Y.T. in 2023, his background as a Maryland Registered Tax Preparer offers a solid foundation in taxation laws and financial regulations. With two associate degrees in Business Administration and Management from Hagerstown Community College, he showcases a strong grasp of fundamental business principles. Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Accounting at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business with hopes of becoming a CPA in the future.

Jonathan Graham

Jonathan’s time with N.Y.T. began as a part-time endeavor in July 2022, just before he began his sophomore year at Waynesboro High School. Despite his relatively young age, Jonathan quickly distinguished himself as a diligent worker with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. His dedication to learning and growing within the firm has made him an invaluable member of the Accounting Services team.

In May 2024, Jonathan proudly walked across the stage as he graduated from high school. With his sights set on higher education, Jonathan is eagerly anticipating his enrollment in the Accounting program at Hagerstown Community College (HCC) come fall 2024. The team at N.Y.T. is elated to see him continue his academic journey and is confident in his ability to thrive in his chosen field.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Jonathan’s interests are as diverse as they are impressive. A seasoned soccer player of 14 years, Jonathan has decided to pivot his focus towards his true passion: music. He has honed his skills as a pianist, captivating family and friends alike. Recently, Jonathan has expanded his musical repertoire to include the guitar and has ventured into the realm of music production, showcasing his versatility and creativity.

Jenny Martin

Jenny is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Her career spans non-profits, private industries, and since 2018, she has been a valuable member of the N.Y.T. CPA family. Jenny’s associates degree in accounting and business, combined with her extensive hands-on experience, has provided her with a solid understanding of both financial and organizational operations.

Beyond her regular responsibilities, Jenny is dedicated to working closely with customers and supporting small businesses. She offers consulting services tailored to their needs, including QuickBooks assistance, bank statement reconciliation, payroll, and more.

In her community, Jenny has made significant contributions. As a former IMC Liaison with the International Management Council, she earned recognition for her achievements. Currently, she serves as the co-treasurer of the Augustoberfest Event, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement and community service.
