Scott Draper brings decades of rich experience to the accounting industry, making him a seasoned expert and a trusted advisor to many. He founded N.Y.T. Certified Public Accountants LLC in 2000 and has since become a cornerstone of the Hagerstown, MD community. As a licensed CPA in Maryland and a dedicated small business owner, Scott is deeply committed to supporting local businesses and non-profits. From the local auto repair shop and government offices to doctors and dentists, countless clients proudly rely on Scott for his practical advice and steadfast support.
Scott’s expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of services, including audits, reviews, compilations, general bookkeeping, accounting services, tax return preparation and planning, and the implementation and support of computerized accounting software. Outside the office, Scott leads an active and fulfilling life. He enjoys running, spending time with his beloved dog Willow and hitting the open road in his Honda CRX. John W. McKusker Jr, E.A.
John isn’t your average number-cruncher—he’s a man with a passion for small business success. When he’s not balancing books at N.Y.T Certified Public Accountants LLC, he’s out exploring the universe with his family. With decades of accounting experience under his belt, John’s journey began in January 2000. Since then, he’s honed his skills in bookkeeping, payroll, taxation, and staff training, using his no-nonsense approach to guide clients through financial challenges.
John currently resides in Waynesboro, PA with his wife Erin, son John III, daughter Isabelle, and granddaughter Kaisleigh. A true Star Wars aficionado, John channels his inner Sith Lord when navigating complex tax codes and bookkeeping challenges. His love for classic VWs is as strong as the Force, and he often spends weekends working on his collection.
Whether he’s guiding a small business or restoring a VW, John brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to everything he does. He’s three parts accountant, one part Star Wars geek, two parts classic VW enthusiast, and a sprinkle of Washington Redskins fandom. Now, that’s a recipe for a force to be reckoned with!

Bailey Ziler, CPA
Bailey Ziler joined NYT in the summer of 2020. Within just a year, she achieved an impressive milestone, becoming one of Maryland’s youngest licensed CPAs in 2021. This speaks volumes about her dedication, drive, and ability to excel in her field at a remarkably young age. Her loyalty to client relationships shines through her enthusiasm and passion for maintaining strong connections. With her diverse experience in tax preparation, planning, bookkeeping, and business development, Bailey brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
What sets Bailey apart is her customer-centered approach and ability to connect with clients on a personal level. She’s down-to-earth and relatable, making her a trusted advisor to small business owners navigating the complexities of their enterprises’ life cycles.

Cindy Damewood
Cindy Damewood brings a wealth of varied experience to N.Y.T. Certified Public Accountants with decades of experience working in corporate America in private industry. Cindy has been working at N.Y.T. Certified Public Accountants, with her brother Scott, since 2009. Her professionalism, judgement and business acumen has provided Scott with another set of eyes and ears to lean on during rough times. She is extremely super detailed while performing her duties at the office.
Outside of the office, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin, their son Max, and her extended family. She currently resides in Boonsboro, MD.
